Net Metering
Net metering allows you to sell the excess electricity generated from your solar setup by sending it to the power grid.
A solar energy system installed at your home may generate more electricity than the home uses during daylight hours. If your home is net-metered, the electricity meter will spin backward to provide a credit for the electricity that you use from the power grid. You get billed only for your “net” energy use. This means that you can potentially cancel out your entire electricity bill with your solar energy system.
